Q: What is a triangle?
Ans: In geometry, a triangle is a closed, two dimensional shape with three straight sides. A TRIANGLE is also a Polygon.

TYPES OF TRIANGLES:
Triangles can be classified into two ways:-
1) Classify by sides
2) Classify by angles

1) Classification of triangles by sides further divided into three types as following:
a) Equilateral triangle: All of the sides in an equilateral triangle are the same length.

b) Isosceles triangle: An isosceles triangle has two equal lengths sides. It has also two inside angles that are equal sides.

c) Scalene triangle : A scalene triangle has no equal lengths sides. It also has no equal inside angles.

2) Classification of triangles by angles further divided into three types as following:
a) Right angled triangle: A triangle which one of its interior angle is right angle (90 degree).

b) Acute angled triangle: An acute angled triangle is a triangle in which all the angles having their measures less than 90 degree.

c) Obtuse angled triangle: A obtuse angled triangle is a triangle in which one of its angel greater than 90 degree.
